The Katy Trail House is located on a long, narrow property between Turtle Creek and the public Katy Trail hike and bike amenity in Dallas.  It is an elegant, angular form that stretches the full length of the site, and hovers above the public road on a stone plinth.  The facade is defined by bays of slender, narrowly spaced columns, and linear roof and floor edges.  The detailing is carried through to the interior, with a long skylight connecting the major spaces, and a lot of glass, providing connection to both the courtyard-like back yard, and the distant view of Downtown Dallas.

Materials include grey wood cladding and Mesabi stone at the exterior, and Travertine, bronze, and a variety of wood species at the interior.
